The app

The shift runs on the phone.

Schedules, tasks, time records and shift notes in one app. Staff record the work. Managers see what is finished and what still needs attention.

Available by guided demo. Client access, timing and included modules are confirmed in your proposal.

Eight modules

Every module keeps a record.

Choose a module to see what the team records and what a manager reviews. Which modules a location starts with is agreed in your proposal.

Scheduling

Publish the schedule.

  • Build and publish the week, see who is scheduled and who is working now.
  • Day and week views keep the schedule on every phone, and staff check their own published shifts.

Tasks

Assign it. Check it. Hand it over.

  • Assign a task to a person or crew, with the photo or reading the work needs.
  • Blocked work keeps its reason.
  • A handoff counts once the next person accepts it.
  • Managers verify finished work or reopen it with a note.
The Review screen with three completed tasks awaiting a manager’s check, each with Verify completion and Reopen with a note buttons

Time

Record time. Keep the history.

  • Clock in and out, meal and rest breaks, and correction requests that stay linked to the original record, with the employee’s account and the approver’s decision.
  • Weekly exports feed your existing payroll process.
  • ChallengerOps does not calculate pay.
The My time screen showing two days of clock in, break and clock out records with total clocked, meal break and rest break durations

Cash

Count the drawer. Keep the record.

  • Drawer counts, sales entries, cash movements and deposits, counted first and then entered.
  • Variance is worked out automatically and kept with its photos, so a manager can see what is behind a difference.
The Cash screen listing Register 1 and Register 2, both closed, each with an Open button

Incident reports

Write down what happened.

  • A guided report records an incident while details are fresh.
  • Submitted reports lock, and addenda keep the original intact.
  • Managers read, acknowledge and close reports.
  • The record documents what happened; it is not legal or medical advice.
The Incidents screen with report filters, a property damage report waiting on a manager and an acknowledged theft or loss report

SOP library

Keep instructions close to the work.

  • Your location’s procedures on the phone, with acknowledgements tracked.
  • Owners adapt and own their procedures.
  • Templates are general guidance, not legal advice, and the content for your location is agreed when we set scope.
The SOPs screen before any procedures are published, with the general guidance note for California operators

Ops logs

Keep a log of the day.

  • Temperatures, handoffs, the daily log and maintenance issues.
  • An open issue keeps its next owner and its history.
  • Completing a task and resolving an issue stay separate records.
The Maintenance screen with Report an issue and Equipment and history buttons and no open issues

Team

Keep the team’s requests in one place.

  • Shift swaps, announcements with read receipts, certifications, onboarding steps and vendor contacts.
  • Requests keep their status until the next decision is recorded.

Follow a shift

From the first clock in to the next handoff.

Five moments in a shift, as the team and the manager see them.

  1. 01
The Today screen for an employee before clock in: the shift starts in 53 minutes, with a Clock in button, the scheduled shift and one unread shift update

    Start the shift

Clock in, see your shift and open the latest handoff.

For the manager: The team sees what the last shift left open.

  2. 02
The Tasks screen with a hot hold line temperature check due at 11 AM, five open tasks with due times and one completed check

    Do the work

Open the task list, check due times and add the photo or reading a task asks for.

For the manager: Managers verify finished work or reopen it with a note.

  3. 03
The Temperatures screen with the hot hold line check due now and the location’s temperature points

    Record what happens

Enter temperature readings, cash counts, incidents and updates while the details are fresh.

For the manager: Your business sets the limits used for readings.

  4. 04
The Shift log screen with one issue still open, the walk in cooler running warm, and the morning handoff

    Hand off what is open

Write the handoff and carry open issues into the next shift.

For the manager: An issue keeps its next owner and its updates.

  5. 05
The manager Today screen: three on the clock, one not clocked in yet, one issue waiting and one time correction to decide

    Review the shift

Managers see who is on the clock, what needs attention and what to decide.

For the manager: Corrections add to the history; payroll accuracy stays with the business.

Records, not rulings

What the app does, and what it does not.

  • Corrections preserve the original record. A correction adds to the recorded history rather than replacing the original entry. Record retention and access are defined separately for your engagement.
  • It does not calculate pay. ChallengerOps is a timekeeping record. It is not a payroll or compliance system. Your business is responsible for payroll accuracy and wage and hour compliance.
  • It is not legal or medical advice. Incident reports and SOP templates record and guide. Review procedures with your own counsel.
  • These screens are real, the restaurant is not. Every screen on this page is captured from the app’s demo build. Harbor Noodle Downtown and its team are fictional.
